Unfortunately, I do not bill insurance directly, however I can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt for services performed for you to submit to your insurance carriers) that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
You can ask your insurance company if your plan covers nutrition services and also inquire about some of the nutritional testing. You may be eligible for reimbursement.
Please call your insurance carrier directly to find out the details of your plan.
Why I don’t take insurance:
- Most topics we’ll cover related to preconception, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum tend to fall under prevention and wellness medicine which is not likely covered by most insurance companies.
- I’m helping prevent you from more invasive fertility and pregnancy treatments as well as postpartum interventions by using food as medicine to achieve balanced endocrine function. Because we won’t be using surgery or drugs to help you, many insurance companies don’t see the value in it for them financially.
- This makes it difficult to bill your insurance and get both of us properly reimbursed
- I bring you virtual care so you don’t have to leave the comforts of your home or office. Insurance currently does not reimburse for virtual medical nutrition therapy.
